summer has come and gone

now that school is back in session, maybe i'll have more time to blog.  this summer went by in a blink of an eye. here's my attempt at "catching up."

in june ethan started baseball.  it was his first year pitching and he loved it!  his ability to try anything new athletically and do really well amazes me.  thank goodness he takes after his dad.

the triplets turned two at the end of june.  wow, time sure does fly when you are busy as heck.  especially with each day the ins and outs of triplet care, but i'm loving this age!  they are learning to talk in sentences, counting to 10 and are developing such cute personalities.  ella, cael and evan bring us so much joy!  we can't imagine life without them.

we had our first family vacation in st. george, which i blogged about earlier.  we had so much fun with the green gang!  swimming, hiking, eating, playing, laughing, talking, bouncing and much more.... we hope to go back soon!

we spent the 4th of july in henefer this year.  i woke early to run my very first 5k with my sis, michele.  we then took the kids down for some fun, but soon realized that it was much easier to be home.  following our normal routine.  lame, i know... getting out with triplets is a lot of work!  my sweet and amazing honey took the babes home and let ethan and i stay and play.  :)   we followed tradition and watched fireworks from nana and papa green's driveway.  it was a fun day!

gary inherited my grandpa brewer's fishing boat this summer.  he and ethan spent may evenings on the reservoir.  a father and son bonding moment for sure.  here are just a few unlucky ones.

it just isn't summer without the hogle zoo.  this year, aunties michele and aleece along with their kids, joined us at the zoo.  we were excited to see the new interactive dinosaurs.  they were a bit scary for some of the kids, but most enjoyed them.  they loved the water spitting dinos the best.  the bird show was one of the highlights of the day.

it seemed as if summer went by too fast this year.  the week before school started, we were scrambling to find a lot of fun things for the kids to do.  we went to the zoo, children's discovery museum and lagoon.  below you will find a few photos from the children's museum.
